Leonard Brautigam Center is located at 13102 Jones Road in Houston, Texas 77070.  The phone number is 281-807-8684.

For students aged 15-21, Brautigam Center offers an environment that resembles a community college.  A staff of nurturing teachers and highly accessible administrators and counselors work collaboratively to ensure every student’s success.

Students come to Leonard Brautigam Center most commonly for the following reasons:

• To “catch up” on credits towards graduation
• To graduate earlier than expected
• To benefit from the “smallness factor”

Students who prefer a non-traditional setting in which to pursue their goal of graduation must complete the following:

• Submit an application (Declaration of Interest) from their attendance-zoned home campus.
• Obtain recommendations from their home campus counselor and assistant principal.
• Provide a current transcript and other pertinent school records.
• Attend an admissions orientation along with a parent/guardian.
• Agree in writing to abide by the LBC Creed.

As a student at Leonard Brautigam Center, I will do Whatever It Takes by:

• Seeking success by attending school every day and making a commitment to complete all requirements for graduation.
• Working diligently each day, giving my personal best at school, at home, and in my community.
• Honoring myself and my school by demonstrating a responsible adult attitude and making positive decisions about my education and my future.

• Has a strong commitment to earning a high school diploma
• Has shown average to above-average academic potential
• Has experienced personal, family, or health issues which have hindered academic success and/or attendance
• Has demonstrated frustration with school and is possibly behind on credits towards graduation
• Has expressed a desire for a positive change

• Teen Parenting Program for student parents who have chosen to complete their high school career while caring for a child.
• Bridging to High School Program designed to support 8^th grade students aged 15 and older in earning 3 high school credits by the end of the Spring Semester. This is a year-long program that must be completed at LBC. 
• “Dusk” Afternoon Program designed for students to take additional high school credit courses.
• Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Program for students who seek to become a Microsoft Office Specialist by taking a globally recognized certification test demonstrating mastery of Microsoft Office Suite skills, word processing, spreadsheet, data base and presentation applications.
• Adobe Certified Association Certification Program in Photoshop for students interested in graphics design careers. The ACA is an industry recognized certification.
• Digital Credit Recovery (DCR) Online Instructional Program for students seeking to reclaim credit for courses already attempted.
• Work Certification Programs including Welding and Plumbing for students seeking to join the workforce after graduation.
• STAAR – EOC Tutorial Class for students who have attempted but not mastered one or more sections of the End-of-Course state assessments (English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology, and US History).

The school hours are from 7:20am – 3:50pm. 

The student’s mode of transportation, course requirements, and class availability will determine a start time of 7:20am or 8:20am and an end time of 2:50pm or 3:50pm.  School phone:  281-807-8684.  School Fax:  281-807-8693. 

Students may ride their CFISD attendance-zoned high school bus to the home campus and connect with the designated shuttle bus to LBC.  At the end of the school day, students ride the shuttle bus from LBC at 3:50pm back to their attendance-zoned high school and connect to the late bus to be transported home.  Late buses do not run on Fridays; therefore, students riding the shuttle bus will need to arrange transportation from their attendance-zoned high school to their home on Fridays only. 

Eligible students with a current driver’s license and proof of driver’s insurance may drive to LBC.  Students who park cars on campus must have a Leonard Brautigam Center parking sticker for the current year.  Parking stickers are available at the Front Desk.

The campus cafeteria provides meal options daily for breakfast and lunch.    

The Leonard Brautigam Center is governed by the same dress code as are all other Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. schools.  The guidelines of the dress code which are detailed in the Student Code of Conduct are strictly enforced at LBC. 

Use of cell phones, iPods, iPads, headphones, earbuds, and any other electronic devices is strictly prohibited at the Leonard Brautigam Center during instructional time. Students may use electronic equipment ONLY before and after classes and during the lunch period (11:15am - 11:45am). Students may be able to use the above items if/when the teacher has it planned in the lesson for that day. 

Students are expected to report to class on time each period. Students must get an "admit to class" pass from the front reception desk for any tardy before reporting to class.

Students who accrue more than 5 tardies total from all classes combined each nine weeks will be assigned lunch detention for the fourth tardy and every tardy thereafter. Students assigned to Lunch D-Hall will receive notification to report  the next day by 11:15am and remain in the designated area until 11:45am. If a student does not comply with this directive, he/she may have further disciplinary consequences that could jeopardize enrollment at LBC.

All medication must be kept in the clinic by the school nurse who will administer dosages.
