Ronald (Ronnie) Davidson, Physics Teacher, was accepted to the Physics of Atomic Nuclei 2019 summer program of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics, held at National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory on the campus of Michigan State University. Mr. Davidson is one of 20 science teachers across the country selected to participate in the program.
The program will introduce the fundamentals of the atomic nuclei and it’s connection to astrophysics and cosmology. Mr. Davidson said, "We will be attending lectures, learning about research in the rare isotope lab, performing experiments in the NSC lab, and creating lesson plans to bring back to Windfern. We will be working alongside the scientists and professors that are full time at the NSC lab, and will create a display of the experiment we will be conducting throughout the week."
Congratulations Mr. Davidson for being chosen for this incredible opportunity.
